Overview
About Me
I'm a biologist and work as a science photographer / writer.
I am a pretty calm and quiet person but some say that still waters run deep :)
If you want to see a bit of my work you can find it under: imagesandviews.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling (which I guess is near to a no-brainer here) and meeting new people and experiencing new cultures on the way. I'm curious to actually get to know places from the point of view of the locals and have found couchsurfing to be the best way to do so. I've met some incredible people during my first couchsurfing experiences and am looking forward to meeting many more!
Interests
As a biologist I generally am very interested in nature, science and near to everything related to these topics.
Hiking, exploring national parks and remote places belong to my favourite occupations but I'm also interested in exploring cities (especially if they have photo galleries I can visit).
Otherwise, I love reading (everything from fiction to biographies) and swimming.
Music, Movies, and Books
All this depends on my mood and changes quite frequently, to be honest.
Music - possibly Mogwai, Husky, Cigarettes after Sex, Yann Tiersen...
Movies - at the moment "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"
Books - because I recently read it "Eating Stone" by Ellen Meloy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking up Mt Fuji in Japan to see the sunrise.
Teach, Learn, Share
If there is anything I know that you'd want to learn, I'm happy to teach it - off the top of my head I'd say I could definitely teach you a bit of German, how to fold origami figures, photography tips or maybe some recipes.
I'm always looking forward to learning more about other culture and places!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook for you - and hopefully host you myself one day!
