About Me

I'm still in the process of discovering myself and what I want to do with my life so if you have any tips... ;)
I come from a (very) small town in the middle of vineyards and I've always wanted to live in a big city, but now that I live in one, I miss the nature sometimes.
My passion for travelling comes from my parents who took me and my siblings everywhere they could.
My first memory is actually from my first trip: I was two and my mother took me to Tunisia to visit my grandmother, I remember how scared I was going up and down the camels, I remember the hammock I was sleeping in and the tea we were drinking seating on the ground in the heat... I was three years old.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couchsurfing thanks to a TED talk and I was amazed by how brilliant this idea was!
I mean, I thought airbnb was cool but sometimes I feel like some people are just in it for the money, here it's like every body is going to be a traveler, open minded, adventurous and curious of other people's cultures and that's GENIUS!

Interests

Travelling for one, then languages, art...
I also really enjoy cooking and I'm pretty darn good at it (at least so I've heard), I always smell my food before eating it which is weird to some people.
I am very interested in environmental issues at the moment, animal cruelty, reducing waste and so on...
I absolutely love learning more about other people's cultures and lives in general.
I like debating about politics, people and life in general, I think those type of discussions are very important.
And my favorite activity when I travel is people watching : people are fascinating.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up listening to my dad's guitar, Pink Floyd, Leonard Cohen and AC/DC...
But now I really listen to everything from Jacques Brel to Nina Simone with some Mozart (I'm in a classical music phase at the moment) and Beyoncé thrown in the middle. I've been to some amazing concerts and festivals like Hellfest and Coachella so my music taste is really vast.
I don't have a favorite artist, movie or book. I love lots of tv-shows from Hannibal to Friends, movies from Dallas Buyers Club to Fight Club, and books from fictional thrillers to political debates... Oh and I am also a potterhead !
