About Me
Hi I’m Sarah
I’m a student (high school) and live close to Zurich in Switzerland and since I don’t earn much money yet Couchsurfing is the way to go! Meeting new people through it is a big bonus.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend and I have been planning a roadtrip through Europe and Couchsurfing is a simple way of getting a stay.
Interests
I play volleyball in a small club for fun and it’s also how I keep in touch with my friends. Next to volleyball I play piano (less than I want to) and sing for fun. I’ve recently have become hooked on puzzles because they make me calm down and focus more.
If you know a fun game I would love to learn it! I’m very much into card games and strategy games.
I like walking and hiking too (when the weather’s right). I’ve been on 10 hour hikes and slept in off grid mountain cabins and hope to do more in that direction.
If you have a good netflix show I would be pleased to hear about it!
I love learning new things such as historical backgrounds or what some might call “fun facts”.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music a lot! I’m always up for new genres and artists.
Movies: I love comedies and the last movie that made my stomach hurt because of laughter was “der vorname”
Books: I don’t have time to read as much as I’d like to but I’m currently trying to get through all the harry potter books (yes I haven’t read them yet i know it’s bad)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was a bit smaller (8 years old) I competed in the world championships for street dance! It was something that I still can remember vibidly today but since then I’ve slowed down with dancing ( I prefer volleyball nowadays).
Last Year I went on a school exchange to Bordeaux which was an absolutely life changing experience. It’s also the reason why I’m on couchsurfing now. I loved staying with a local and getting insight from a residential view! I also improved my French of course.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I mentioned I’m from Switzerland and I like to teach people tough Swiss German words. I love learning new things from other cultures and countries because understanding other people’s heritage can bring people closer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m on a roadtrip with a friend this summer so our stays would alwas be very short(1-2 nights). We can teach you how to pronounce Swiss German words and maybe give have some interesting discussions about in which ways our countries are the same or different.
We already have a blanket and our own towels so a bed or a couch is all we really need.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States
