I'm from South Carolina by way of California and am currently living and working in the West Fjords of Iceland. I'm going to the be in the U.K. after I leave here from September-Christmas, and I'm excited to travel around and meet new people along the way :)

I love traveling/other travelers, and showing people where I live. Being a host brings out the best in me. I like making others feel welcome in my home, and I enjoy receiving the same treatment when it is my turn to hit the road.

BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS. I'm a Tolkien obsessive, some more recent favorites include Elizabeth Kolbert's books, A Wild Sheep Chase, The Girls, Barbarian Days, and Hidden Figures. I'm currently reading Life: A Natural History of the First Four Billion Years of Life on Earth and Occasional Essays by Zadie Smith.
