About Me

ABOUT US
We met in 2017 and are a couple since then. We're both 21 years old. Traveling together gave us the opportunity to learn to know each other very well. Italy, Thailand and the Netherlands have been destinations we discovered together and there will be much more after august 2022 due to our Interrail trip.
We are sure to meet kind and open-minded people all over the world. Here are some things we love to do together:
- cooking new recipes
- taking a walk in the park nearby
- discovering new places
- camping
- cooking while camping
- strolling around beaches
- watching sunset with a glass of white wine
- enjoying the summer with an ice cold coffee
- reading books before sleep
- cycling
- watching dogs play

ABOUT FINN
Hi, I'm Finn and I study Cyber Security / Computer Science in Bochum. I like to spend my time doing sports, especially football, cycling, running and wind-surfing. Teaching and helping younger students in subjects like maths, physics and geology is another passion of mine.
In 2019 I traveled to Thailand with my brother and my girlfriend. It was one of the best experiences in my life and resulted in the desire to discover more people, cultures and countries of this beautiful world.
I prefer to travel by bike. It is the perfect way of overcoming distances without losing touch to your environment. I also like it a lot to travel by train.
Due to my frequent use of my bike(s), it came handy to learn a lot about the mechanics of bicycles. I spend a lot of time fixing and modifying my beloved vehicles :) In general I really like to fix things instead of throwing them away. Giving new life to old and broken objects is a very fulfilling activity.
I'm curious to meet people and make new friends around the world. Getting to know each other is the best way to overcome difficulties and conflicts.

ABOUT SARAH
Hey, my name is Sarah :)
If you asked about who I am, I'd probably answer something as follows: Life is all about giving what you can give and receiving what you need. Since I was a young teenager I chose to live a very concious life. Therefore I especially enjoy taking time for good food and cooking. Spending time with people I like also lets me feel great. Another pleasure of mine is spending time with animals. I often lose bad thoughts just by being around dogs or cuddeling my boyfriends cat Yoshi.
In general I like to be outside, especially in summer. Reading a book in the sun, diving deep into a story makes me feel happy.
I really hope to make great contacts on CS. I'd be more then happy to learn about new places and getting in touch with different people and cultures.
I've been doing a dual degree for about a year now. I work for a health insurance company and study health and social management.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We both love to travel and though we are still young, we feel like we already visited a lot of countries and cities all around the world. Whenever we discovered new places we missed getting in touch with the people and their lives and culture.
With CS we hope to get to see cities and cultures from a different point of view when spending time with a people who are actually living there.
We would like to meet a lot of new people and places all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On our trip to Thailand we celebrated Sarah's birthday in the jungle. We had a two-day-trekking-tour and ended up staying with an international group of travellers. We sang birthday songs in thai, spanish, english and german. It was a fun evening with games and a lot a conversation without using words.

In 2022 we spent a whole month traveling Europe by train (Interrail!!). This trip taught us so much about culture, people and feelings in Europe!
