Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the world beyond the typical tourist norm, I want to see the world through meeting locals and going on a great adventure. I love getting to know people and hearing their stories . I think there is something so human and lovely about sharing a space together. I love the exchange of culture and think it's a true gift.

I've got an adventurers heart and I want to believe in the kindness of strangers. Couchsurfing seems to be a place where kindness is not a lost art, but still going strong.

I love doodling, reading, good food, making music. I enjoy discussions on compassion and empathy. I enjoy nature and scenic things. I box, like running (though slow) and hiking :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived and worked in Uganda with children living on the street; this was the most amazing thing ever! Saw silverback gorillas up close in their natural habitat.

I went to Haiti after the earthquake, and again a year after that to help relief efforts, it was honestly the most life changing experience.
