Overview
About Me
I am friendly, responsible, creative, and a bit of an old soul. I treasure the connections that I make with others, and am always open to learning and experiencing new things. I have lived in various parts of Canada throughout my life, but spent the majority of the last decade in Nanaimo. With my schooling almost done, I am ready to move onto the next adventure!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am graduating this year from a degree in Geography, and intend to travel for a year to expand my horizons and meet some new people before starting a Master's Degree. Eventually, when I have an adequate space, I would love to host other travellers.
Interests
Anything to do with the outdoors. I love to hike, backpack, and camp. For the past 6 years I have taught wilderness survival training to youth in the summer. I have recently started getting into yoga and would like to get into rock climbing. I also like to paint and draw, usually scenes from the beautiful landscapes that I like to spend my time in.

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently my favourite artist is London Grammar. I am a huge Lord of the Rings nerd (both the movies and the books). Otherwise, I have pretty diverse tastes in music, movies, and books, tending to lean towards whatever I'm in the mood for at the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Completed an underwater egress training course (how escape a float plane if it were to capsize in the water).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am usually told that I am a great listener. I would love to hear about your experiences as well as share some of my own. Being a geographer, I am very interested in peoples' relationships with place and what makes us want to be where we are. I'm also a decent cook!
