About Me

I'm a television & film makeup artist; I either make people beautiful or scary.
On top of this, I'm a coffee snob, self-proclaimed documentary queen, tattoo collector and traveller. I collect comic books and anything that has to do with owls.
If I were three fictional characters, I would be Holly Golightly, Bernadette (from Big Bang Theory) and Imperator Furiosa. I like bad jokes and even worse beer. I have been known to eat healthy and workout 80% of the time, the other 20% I binge-eat Taco Bell.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: ranges from classic jazz/blues (Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Etta James), punk (Joy Division, Misfits, NOFX, The Cure), hipster crap (blink-182, Brand New), metal, cheesy 80s hair bands/rock ballads, and indie pop.

TV & Movies: Breakfast at Tiffany's, Stranger Things, Scream Queens, Planet Earth, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Supernatural, anything that has to do with Batman (even the animated!), Deadpool, Daredevil, Narcos, Ex-Machina, Hannibal...I could go for days. I'm also a snotty Rotten Tomatoes reviewer.

Books: tons of comics, tons of classics, loads of poetry, and the odd trendy cover. I'm incredibly picky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I packed my car with as much as I could and left my longterm boyfriend and the apartment we shared to chase a wild dream that wasn't even done being crafted yet. Following that, I flew to Peru, went sandboarding after a dune buggy tour, I hit my highest ascent (12,500ft!) at El Balcon del Diablo (Peru), explored Machu Picchu and watched the sunset in the driest desert on earth, the Atacama. When I returned, I worked two jobs (9am-5pm & 6pm-2am) every day to move myself to Toronto so I could attend school.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: how to contour without looking like a drag queen (unless you want to be a drag queen, I can do that too!), how to identify the flavour notes in a cup of coffee, and how to cut yourself some slack while simultaneously laughing off your failures.

Learn: patience, how to pour latte art and learn to love more foods (I'm picky!)

Share: my favourite coffee shop, the best tattoo artists on Instagram and lots of good craft beer knowledge.
