About Me

Hi all! :) I would describe myself as being open-minded, funny and gentle person. I am a Belgian student currently studying a master in Maastricht.
I have lots of center of interest, so it would be long to describe all. I can tell you that I am always willing to learn about something or somebody, and that I am dedicated to protecting our beautiful Mother Earth. Taking care of the environment is something really important for me. I am not perfect but I try to evolve so as to limit my impact on nature.
I am a person who loves to have friends and family around, and at the same time I handle being alone pretty well. It's not difficult for me to like people: as long as you are nice, true and positive person, we have great chances to get along :D Your origin, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender, colour, educational background,... does not matter to me; I'm rather happy to get to know you if you have some story I can learn from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't have the opportunity to host people yet, but when I'll have my own place I'll certainly join the hosting community.
For now, I am looking for nice people to meet when I am travelling around. I am used to the more traditionnal hostels and campings, but something I missed a bit during my previous trips was the direct contact with locals or people living for long in the countries I visit. I was told about Couchsurfing that it is a nice way to make new friends, and I love to share with people, be it something I can offer or just hanging out and have nice talks.
Also, for the years to come I decided that I would rather visit Europe instead of flying everywhere and I know the Couchsurfing community is pretty developed here. It also adds a more 'exciting' touch to the trip as you can get to know new people while not being so far away from home.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking for other people. I usually put all my heart in it. I think it is a nice way to share something, and the moment we spent eating together is one of the most important of the day I believe. I am a vegetarian, so my cooking is vegetarian too.
I know some traditional yoga that I learnt in the Himalayas in India. I am happy to share what I got from my stay in an ashram: the deep philosophy of yoga and some postures.
