Overview
About Me
I am a student from Melbourne, Australia. I am currently living in Oslo for a year on exchange at the University of Oslo. I am studying Urban Planning and Design, but my particular interests are in creating sustainable communities and the development of communities that are resilient from natural disasters.
I am a friendly and happy person who loves to socialise with friends and new people. I love to be creative and like to always have an art or craft project on the go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am looking for an alternative and personal way to explore cities through meeting the locals and hearing their advice and experience of these new cities. After travelling to many new places I have found that its always been the most rewarding when you can meet people from that place who are rich with knowledge on the best ways to see the 'real' character and opportunities that these places are made up of.
Music, Movies, and Books
Currently loving the new album Snow by Angus and Julia Stone. Am always a fan of many great Australian artists, Sticky Fingers, Tash Sultana, Boo Seeka and the list goes on.
I absolutely love to read but have found myself doing it less and less these days so am always looking for recommendations, one of my favourite books is Burial Rites by Hannah Kent and my latest favourite movie would be Tracks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This trip that I am currently on, living in the opposite end of the world for a year is a long way from sunny Australia, but the experiences Ive had have been so incredibly fulfilling and valuable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always up for a good laugh and good conversation and love to get creative with fresh, healthy food in the kitchen!
