My Name is Sarah, I am 22 years old and at the moment I am living in San Francisco. I am working as a professional AuPair. I grew up in Germany in the Black Forest and right before I came to the US I did an education as an occupational therapist. I will stay in the US for one year and I would love to travel as much as I can!
I am new in the Couchsurfing community and heard about it from a friend. She told me that it’s the best way to get in touch with locals while traveling. I thought what a benefit to get to know the locals because they always know the best spots and really can show you around. I love to meet new people and to get in touch with different cultures.
In my year as an AuPair I would like to use all my free time to do some trips. But often my hostfamily wants me to go on vacation with them which could be really boring. Because I don’t have friends around, don’t know anyone and don’t have much time to explore the areas we travel to. So in this case I really trust in the Couchsurfing community to support me! Hopefully I will get in touch with soo many couchsurfers all around America!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first Couchsurfing experience I had when I traveled to Santa Cruz with a friend. Now I am really convinced about Couchsurfing. First of all we had this amazing opportunity to life at the most beautiful location in Santa Cruz, we got a short but great sightseeing tour and got to know the best bar. Now I would never travel to a place again without checking my Couchsurfing account on people who are free for hangouts.
