Writer/graphic novelist, Indigenous and Irish. I'm often all over the place in life but when I'm home I like to keep things quiet. My apartment is a little cramped/cluttered, but there's plenty of space and the futon folds down for a surprisingly comfortable sleep. I've lived in this city all my life and there's not a lot of it I don't know. I'm very active in the local Aboriginal community and I love having an excuse to drag someone out to an event, pow wow or otherwise. I'm not big into the bar/club scene, but I enjoy it the few times I go. Take me to karaoke and I will love you forever.

I do have a cat, so be warned if you have allergies. He has a good temperament though, and so long as you give him a bit of space the worst he is is indifferent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've followed through on my plan going to Italy, and while my initial place to stay went a bit pear-shaped, I'm still loving the country and finding ways to stay and do amazing things. I'd like to see more of the touristy spots, but hopefully in a less touristy way, and share culture and experience with great people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The local culture, both for Ottawa as a whole and Aboriginal culture. Not a week goes by I'm not at at least one Aboriginal event, and over the summer it's at least one pow wow a month. If you've never been it's an amazing experience!
