Hey there!

I'm Sarah, 24 years old and come from Würzburg, which is a beautiful town in Southern Germany. I've just finished my studies and am going to become a teacher at Primary Schools.
Besides my studies I work as a Dance and Flexibility teacher. I love exploring movement and passing my passion on to my lovely students.
All in all, I would describe myself as a very warm-hearted, caring and emotional person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother and his girlfriend who are currently travelling through the USA and Australia told me about the very good and interesting experiences they have made thanks to couchsurfing - so I thought I would give it a go too :) When I was traveling in the past, I used to stay in Hotels. However, I always felt like there was a "wall" between my experience in a stranger country and the real life of the locals there. I hope/think that Couchsurfing could batter that wall down :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: In the past I loved listening to electronic music, especially when I was going out or visited festivals (like the Fusion in northern Germany). Nowadays, however, I am far more open when it comes to styles of music.
Today, I would say that different occassions make me like different styles of music. I am open to almost everything :)
Movies: Star Wars (I wrote my thesis paper about the development of the depiction of women in the movies, if you are interested, I can provide some insights here :D), Lord of the Rings, Disney Movies :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best thing I have done in my life until today, is probably to start Dancing. It boosted my self-confidence in ways I never thought possible and helped me to become the person I am today. Without the confidence I have gained through finding a thing I am very passionate about and good at, I probably would have never found my real-self, established the relationships I have in my live today and consequently wouldn't be where I'm at today :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer some knowledge in dance, basic acro and flexibility (this is basically yoga) training and would love to do some sessions with my hosts. Moreover, I can share german and italian food recipes or help with kids in the household.
