About Me
Hello! My name is Sarah Palmer. I am a young and ambitious world traveler! I grew up in Denver, Colorado which allowed me to be involved in anything and everything outdoors. Some of my outdoor hobbies include hiking, camping, skiing, backpacking, campfire building, wildlife viewing, and above all else horseback riding! I have enjoyed a world close to animals and decided to make a career out of it! I work as a wildlife biologist and get to travel the world and work with some amazing animals. I have been lucky to travel my whole life and am no stranger to the open road. Both in my everyday life and my career I get to travel the world and experience everything that I can. I adore being a member of the traveling community and want nothing more than to make meaningful connections around the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that we are all citizens of the world and should experience as much of it as possible! I travel a lot and am no stranger to the open road. I want to meet and see as much as I can in this lifetime and contribute to the world in doing so.
I am on CS as a way to meet more people, see these new places from a local's point of view, and have a chance to contribute and share what I can and how I see the world with others. I believe this type of connection can absolutely be found and had and shouldn't be wasted. I think CS can work if both sides are honest, respectful, and open with each other!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My job allows me to be in places and do things I never thought would be possible. One amazing thing I have done through my job was saving baby leatherback sea turtles in Costa Rica. I was there working on a project with the mother turtles, conducting patrols on the beaches at night. But sometimes, if I was lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time, I was able to help the little baby hatchlings find their way to the ocean! It was an absolutely magical experience to have.
Teach, Learn, Share
One of the biggest categories of information I work very hard to share as I move is about the conservation of wildlife around the world. I could talk for hours about it and always welcome opinions and information from those willing to have real conversations about it. I love hearing other stories, experiences, and knowledge with others that I encounter. I strongly believe the passing of information is vital if we ever want to make a difference in the world and preserve the wildlife of the world that we still have.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my love of the wold, traveling, and the passing on genuine information. I understand that you are opening up your home to someone and, in exchange for that, I promise to be thankful, polite, clean, and upfront about everything. I want this experience to be as great as it possibly can! I travel for the love of doing so, and the exposure to the world that you gain when doing so. If you're open to the sharing of experiences and information than I am too!
