About Me

I got a degree in education and then got married and decided to be a barista instead! I love my job and the flexibility to gives me and how I still have emotional energy at the end of the day for my friends and family. I love traveling and learning about new cultures. I also love God and am thankful every day for the strength He gives to love others as myself and the grace He gives when I fail.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really want to be a part of the broader global community. Whether that means hosting or simply being aware of cultural events near me or meeting up with people when I am traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love 90s punk/rock/alternative. It's just nostalgic for me I guess. :) But I have a wide variety of musical interests. I can appreciate most genres. Country is the one I have the hardest time with. But occasionally there is a redeeming song or article in there.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, the Princess Bride, A Knight Tale, the Dark Knight, Les Mis, A Beautiful Mind, etc.

Authors: Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Brandon Sanderson, Donald Miller, Gerald Morris, Tamera Pierce, Shakespeare, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best stories are told in person. So we'll have to meet up sometime if you want to hear some of them. But up there are: traveling in Europe for 5 weeks with my best friend (many stories there), and meeting and marrying the man of my dreams. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play guitar decently enough to teach the very basics to someone. I'd also love to teach anyone how to play ultimate frisbee.

I like learning about other cultures, cooking, other religions, and different political systems.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Russian Federation, South Africa, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Nigeria, United States
