Hi everyone! I'm a first year medical student, and I hope to be a psychiatrist when I'm done with my training. I'm interested in learning to fuse complementary techniques such medication, mindfulness, and yogic postures into tradition psychiatric care. When I'm not busy studying I love playing soccer, seeing live music, reading, and of course traveling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have only been on a handful of trips abroad so far, but I have absolutely loved every single one! I hope to travel more in the coming years, and some friends recommended that I check out couch surfing so here I am! I'm super friendly and love to meet new people of all types whether abroad or right here in my current home of Scranton!

I am traveling to Israel, Egypt, and Jordan this summer and hope to do some couch surfing while abroad!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all things live music!! Going to shows is definitely one of my biggest hobbies! Jam bands, funk, classic rock, and jazz are a few of my favorite genres, but I can enjoy anything with a good groove! Some of my favorite bands are Phish, The Grateful Dead, Ween, Medeski Martin and Wood, Herbie Hancock, The Meters, Steely Dan, Soulive, and sooo many more!

I'm not a huge movie buff, but a few that come to mind right now are The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, all the Wes Anderson movies, Star Wars... ya know pretty much the classics.

I'm a complete dork and love to read! Right now I'm reading The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan for any of you fantasy nerds out there. A couple of other books I've read recently that have have have an inpact on me are Ishmael by Daniel Quin, Strangers in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein, Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer, and Proof of Heaven By Eben Alexander.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm really friendly, and love exchanging stories, jokes, or just hanging out! I enjoy cooking and could definitely cook you a meal! I'm a pretty laid-back person, and can be happy doing pretty much anything!
