Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was upset after moving to USA leaving my home and family in Bangladesh and for the first time in my life I have found it challenging to make friends. I eventually stumbled upon 'Couchsurfing' and I was happy to see that there are interesting folks around me who are looking for connecting with people. I am interested to meet some active and happy folks who can share their spirits, stories and visions with me and I can share mine.

Listening music, watching movies, helping people- getting involved in social welfare activities... my field of interests extends to philosophy, history, psychology, arts, economics and many other things.

Fond of listening to Sigur Ros, Olafur Arnalds, Aurora Borealis, Explosion in the Sky, God is an Astronaut, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Donovan, The Beatles, Eddie Vedder, Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, Yann Tiersen, Insomnium, Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, Erik Satie, Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, Antonin Dvorak, Dmitri Shostakovich and others. I love to listen celtic music.

Right now I am in a project to watch movies by Luis Bunuel and Akira Kurosawa, Satyajit Ray and Ritwik Ghatak. I have also plan to watch works by Mrinal Sen, Aki Kaurismaki, Stanley Kubrick and some other filmmakers. Recently I have watched Ikiru, Dersu Uzala, Rashomon, , Pride and Prejudice, The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeois, Tristana, That Obscure Object of Desire, The World of Apu, Aparajito, Nayak: The Hero, Kanchenjungha, Company Limited, Asani Sanket, Days and Night in the Forest, Agantuk (The Visitor) and some other movies.
