Overview
About Me
I’m from northwestern Ontario Canada and I love to travel! I’m a bush pilot in the summer and dogsled guide during the winter, which gives me a good window of time for adventures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to meet like-minded people. Everyone I’ve met on cs has been so kind and willing to help out in any way they can because most people travel themselves and understand the challenges of long adventures.
Interests
I'm happiest when I'm outdoors. I like to hike, ski- cross country and downhill, backpack, canoe, dogsled, camp, occasionally climb, and I'm pretty much down to try anything else outside! I have a huge passion for the environment and I try to do my part to fight climate change. I love traveling, and although I've never been outside of North America, I've seen some pretty cool stuff! I like a good cup of coffee and craft beers from local breweries. I'm a huge tea fanatic and I have an extensive collection. I enjoy painting and reading when I'm stuck inside. I have a puppy whose name is turbo. He is the best adventure buddy I’ve ever had, but he doesn’t usually travel with me.
Music, Movies, and Books
I have an eclectic music taste (oldies, indie rock, folk, and a little bit of everything) and I enjoy reading a lot, mostly about mysteries and outdoor adventures. I don’t watch a lot of tv but I do enjoy a good movie or series if I find one.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in my car/tent for a couple months hiking and adventuring!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can’t teach you how to fly a plane or drive a dogsled but I’ve got some good stories about doing it!
I love to learn about life in other areas of the world, even outside of my home province.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversations, good tea, stories about life in the wilderness
