About Me

Hi everyone!
My name is Sarah, I am 27 and traveling the world for 14 months with my boyfriend Timo. We started with 3 months in Australia and are now in New Zealand. From there we want to make our way to Fiji and some more islands and finally reach Central America. I love learning and trying out new things, being in the outdoors and sharing stories.
At home I was in IT but who knows what I will do when I come back. I definitely look forward to come back to my football team and meet all of my family and friends again. 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got to Couchsurfing trough a good friend of mine. And during my first travel in South America in 2015 I realized that it's the people and the experiences that make a travel special. I love getting to know new people and cultures and to learn new things. Therefore couchsurfing is the best platform to make more unforgettable memories with people from all over the world even when I am not travelling.
I had my first couchsurfing experiences in California and it was even better than I would have expected! I had my own place at home that I offered to surfers only for a short time before Covid. I live a little remote so only few surfers come through. So far I only hosted people that I met before somewhere on the road but hope to get some more surfers once I am back.

Interests

Any kind of sport, particularly football, wakeboarding, kitesurfing, hiking, traveling, reading, learning new stuff

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost every kind of music but when someone plays Reggaeton I for sure will start dancing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed a mountain of 4760m height.

Teach, Learn, Share

When staying at my place I would be happy to show you the area around. Especially the palatine forest is a very nice place. And if we do not make it to a day trip maybe we could go to a typical local wine festival in the area?!

What I Can Share with Hosts

With hosts I can share many travel stories, Timo can cook an amazing meal, I could teach some German and practice English and Spanish. Additionally I am of course happy to share anything I know and in which my guests or hosts are interested in.
