About Me
Hi! I'm not great at writing about myself but here goes...
I've wanted to escape the British winter for the last 3 years and this year I've finally done it. Rejoice! I went to Portugal first to volunteer at a horse riding school for 6 weeks which was brilliant, and I now have some hay bail muscles. I wanted to learn how to keep horses for when I get my own, and to get back in the saddle as next year I want to get my horse riding stunt certificate so I can ride in movies. I've been trying to figure out how to merge my interests, and dancing and riding in films would be 3 of them! I'm also writing a sitcom based on my time working in a theatre in London which I want to finish early next year. (Although all of this exploring is a major distraction, oops)
I love going out to listen to live music, eating good food and swapping stories with strangers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a teenager living at home we hosted a lot of coach surfers and met some lovely people. I was always keen to give them tips on my city and show them around if they didn't mind a 16 year old as their tour guide for a few hours.
I've been away since October 5th but haven't needed to couchsurf as I was either working on a farm or staying with friends. Hostels are great (unless you get a snorer) but I'd rather speak to the locals so I can see the best of the city and know what its like to live there. It's a search to find where I want to settle for a while.
Music, Movies, and Books
Most recently my favourite film is Joy. It's a very inspiring story and I loved how it was made.
Music- any band that has a brass instrument
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went skydiving in Cuba which was fucking awesome. Its only the 2nd time I've flown like a bird and I can't imagine it would ever get old.
Also I feel pretty proud that I've got 2 godsons and another on the way, the eldest being 14 so I've been trusted for my guidance from 3 separate families. No pressure.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn how to build an eco house as my family are planning a build starting this year.
I am now mature enough to share chocolate cake. It's a big stepping stone.
I could teach you to dance if you have a big enough living room!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully some interesting or funny stories and an appreciation for puddings.
