Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am a student at Brown. I want to study Psychology, but I'm interested in Economics as well, so we shall see. I love dogs, coffee, comedies, and traveling. :))
I am an introvert, but I like to meet people at the same time...so I guess you could say this is a paradox?? That said, I have recently begun traveling by myself and I love it. It gives you so much freedom and you meet so many different people you wouldn't otherwise get to meet. I have this philosophy that there is no such thing as a boring person. Everyone has unique and individual experiences!

I've been to Peru for a service trip (I was on the dental team and the photography team).
I've been to the Netherlands and Germany to take care of kids in the Syrian refugee centers.
I've taught English in Costa Rica :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that Couchsurfing would be a great way to meet a community of like-minded people, especially since I'm interested in backpacking alone. I also find it comforting to have a "guide" who can tell me about the city, and it's always nice to hear about other people's travels. I enjoy learning about new cultures, so I find it more authentic to stay in a home or apartment rather than a hotel or hostel. Plus, I'm on a tight budget yet I really love to travel (obviously).

Also, I am very new to the Couchsurfing site, hence my small number of references. However, I have been in a homestay before (in Costa Rica) so I do have experience staying in another person's home.
