About Me

ABOUT ME

I've spent the last 10 years working, studying, and travelling across North America and Europe. I'm now in Calabar, Nigeria on a new professional and personal adventure!

I grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere so I absolutely love the outdoors. When not enjoying nature you can find me reading, exploring new places, and spending time with friends and family. I'm always up to meet new people and try new things and can be somewhat nerdy at times. I also love puns.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently a potential surfer with no couch to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Canada and France and have had amazing hosts/experiences every time. Couchsurfing has allowed me to travel and meet great friends all over :) I also love meeting up with fellow surfers and participating in local groups - I try to do this in every city that I live/visit.

Interests

Anything outdoorsy -- especially hiking, skiing, camping, and canoeing. I also have a soft spot for museums and learning about new cultures. I'm an avid reader and love a good TV series. I'm into pub quizzes, good food, easy-going friends, and new experiences. I am also partial to a cold beer on a hot summer's day. Or just a beer...on any day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In August of 2012 I walked the Camino de Santiago with a few friends. From Saint Jean Pied de Port all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. 900 km of walking might seem a little crazy, but definitely one of the best things I have EVER done. So many new people, great wine, beautiful vistas -- can't recommend it highly enough! When we walked over the ridge on the last day and finally saw the ocean...truly breathtaking.
