ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm from the state of Virginia, located on the East Coast of the United States (near Washington DC.) I speak a little Spanish and am somewhat casually studying both French and German (beginner!) I have worked in the field of International Education for several years, and have experience working with exchange students as well as teaching English as a foreign language- I very much enjoy meeting people from all over the world!

I am in my 30's and am a reliable, low-key person. Although I enjoy having a good time, I am not a "party animal", and prefer to get to know people while leading a simple, uncomplicated life. While I do enjoy visiting the countryside, my heart belongs in the cities, where I could walk all day and always see something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked several miles through the pitch-black Niah caves in Sarawak to see ancient cave paintings.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love everything related to food, so anything that has to do with that, including production, markets, cooking, restaurants, farming, etc. is of interest to me. I have been teaching myself about styles of curry worldwide for the past two years, so if you are interested, that is my area of specialization!
