About Me
I'm an ecologist studying Coastal and Marine Management in remote northwest Iceland.
Currently doing fieldwork on Mingulay the Western Isles of Scotland so am unsent to host in Ísafjörður for a while.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's been great hosting in Ísafjörður, very few visitors to Iceland make it out here.
We've had the best fun with the folk who've made the long journey here - sharing stories, staying up all night telling riddles, shown some guests amazing auroras for the first time, having snowy barbecues, skiing, cosy pancake evenings in darkest winter and sometimes having our couchsurfers snowed in and stuck with us for a bit longer!
Interests
My main interests are conservation and sustainability, I've been living in remote places for a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
There's time for all kinds of music, in the right moment you could find me jumping to techno until my legs ache in the morning (more often than you would expect in a small Icelandic town), but usually I like chilled folk or rock, at the moment I love Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Rodriguez & Fleetwood Mac, but Alice Cooper or RATM are also on my playlist, and others like the eccentric gypstep of Molotov Jukebox :-)
Visit Ísafjörður over Easter and we'll take you to Iceland's best music festival, Aldrei for eg Sudur.
