About Me

I was born in Switzerland and spent the first 30 years of my life there. Then I decided to move back to Austria, where my father is originally from. Why? I don't know why. I did want to start completely over and Austria is near, I have relatives here and they speak (more or less) the same language.

I always loved travelling. Since I was a little child. And since I'm earning my own money I try to travel as much as I can. Sometimes in groups, sometimes with friends and also sometimes on my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always look forward to meet persons that really live in the country where I travel to. They know the really good places and this is how you really learn to know a country and its culture. Therefore, I am on Couchsurfing to meet the local people.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Indie, Salsa and all the mainstream stuff.

MOVIES
All movies with Johnny Depp (yes I am a great fan).
Some classic ones like: Lord of the Rings, Harry and Sally, Gone with the Wind, ...
And then also some Austrian and Swiss movies...

BOOKS
Almost everything. The main thing is: I do not want to think to much. So it must be simple. Something about romance and love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding when I was 13 years old.

The Inka-Trail. It was a great time with a great hiking group. A lot of time to talk and also some alone time to think about life and work. I was very short to a burn out before I went to the Inka-Trail. In fact I would have burned out for sure if I would have cancelled it (like I did want to - my boss made me go) and the Inka-Trail experience really made to recover completely from this "almost-burn-out".

Teach, Learn, Share

If you visit me I will drive you to the southern part of Styria where we will visit a traditional kind of restaurant. Called "Buschenschank" and drink some white wine. This is, what the Austrians do on a sunny and nice day on the weekend.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Peru, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
