About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Me and my friend Lillie about to set voyage to the 'little' country known as Australia. We are travelling between Sydney to Carins, from the 20th June until the 15th August.
ABOUT ME
My name is Sarah and I will be travelling to East coast Australia in about three weeks. Me and my best mate are treating ourselves to a break away from home, a chance to be independent travellers and let the world be our oyster!! We will be travelling together and just hope to meet some lovely people on the way who wouldn't mind putting up with us for a night or two. We will be staying in hostels along the way but were hoping to get an experience of what its like to live in the country not just from a tourist point of view.
I am currently studying in Bristol, England, but me and Lillie are both from the same area of South London and have been friends ever since we were wee nippers.
Both non-smokers, but no objection to smoking.
PHILOSOPHY
I take each day as it comes, as theres no point in living for the future if you can't appreciate the now.
(Too cheesey? I'd say so! but I do stick by it)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment neither of us are in situations where we can 'lend a couch' however in the future we are both keen to do so. But for now, we are still very happy to meet people who come to the area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Neither of us have ever done this before and only recently been told about it but feel very excited to be apart of it. We really hope we can meet some lovely people across our trip and one day return the favour.
Interests
My degree is in child care so I love working with children but away from that, I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to see live music, going out and having a drink, exploring new places, meeting new people.
(anyone else found it hard to talk about themselves??)
Lillie has a lot of similar interests but she's also into her drama.
- education
- drinking
- traveling
- socializing
- music
- live music
- teaching
Music, Movies, and Books
oooh I love a good read, I like books with unpredictable endings, so not too slushy and romantic, because lets be honest that can just make me feel sad my lives not like that.
Music, always so hard to describe. If we're hitting up the sterotypes here, I'd say more chart, indie, acoustic, rock, but always up for hearing new tunes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the opportunity to go to Canada in my year out from education, where I joined onto a tour group and travelled around British Columbia and Vancouver Island for three weeks. Every day I was amazed with what I got to see and I hope Australia will bring the same excitement that trip brought me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't see myself as being able to 'teach' anyone anything, but at the same time would be happy to help anyway I can. Even just through talking about experiences we've all had and sharing ways of coping with this.
