About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am a compassionate, passionate, and adventurous person. Taking this current time to explore new cultures, people and myself.
ABOUT ME
I am originally from California but since college I have called many places home. I studied at the University of Colorado in Boulder and absolutely fell in love with the mountains and the region. After graduation I spent time traveling through Latin America and now I work for immigrant rights in the US. I am a lover of diversity, shared perspectives, and laughs in all forms!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My boyfriend and I just moved back to Colorado after travelling through Spain and Portugal. We really enjoyed our surfing experiences and think it is the most unique and authentic form of traveling! Now that we have a place to call home in Boulder we are hosting when we can to pay it forward.
Interests
I am very active! I love hiking, running, playing soccer, and just enjoying my present space.

Music, Movies, and Books
Going to shows and concerts is one of my favorite activities! I have a wide musical taste ranging from indy to country-pop (I just can't say no to T-Swift). Some of my favorite artists are Bob Dylan, Calle 13, Cherub, Jamie T, and Modest Mouse. I love finding new music and sharing mine! I also really love spoken word, listening to it, seeing it, and performing it. My favorite spoken word artist is Andrea Gibson.
I am no movie buff, but certainly appreciate a good film. Two of my favorite movies are Good Will Hunting and Finding Forester. Somehow I have missed out on a lot of classics so I am always trying to catch up.
I could have a good book, a blanket and a warm drink and read my way through the cold months of the year. I love anything by Barbara Kingsolver, and Herman Hesse and "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou is dear to my heart.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting the border between El Paso and Juarez was one of the most meaningful shocking and inspiring experiences of my life. I just finished up working on the border for three months. I was fortunate enough to share stories, meals and soccer with some of the strongest people I have met thus far in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to teach English, and Spanish, if your level is low enough for my teaching skills ;). I am always looking to improve my cooking and learn new dishes. Sharing stories is what couchsurfing is all about, so I am up for that too!
