About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to see the world on a college student's budget

ABOUT ME

I really want to see the world and would love to meet people from other cultures. I'm interested in traveling, obviously, and expanding my horizons. I want to see the world through the eyes of natives.
I'm really into music and listening and learning about all types. I play guitar and ukulele and love to sing. As for other hobbies, I love food and especially cooking. I'm also really interested in languages and know quite a bit of Spanish, which I love any opportunity to practice speaking!
I'm currently a graduate Occupational Therapy student in the United States. I know that once I'm out of college, traveling and seeing the world will become more difficult, so it's a dream I'm trying to fulfill as soon as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live as spontaneously and genuinely as possible and to be authentically myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point my interest is more in traveling and surfing than in hosting. When I move in a couple of months, I am really hoping to begin hosting others!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still figuring this whole thing out so I've only couchsurfed twice but it was a great experience and I loved it both times. I would love to get more experience couchsurfing around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of indie music and I read constantly. All the time. I'm always reading something and always welcome book recommendations!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking has provided some of the most breathtaking moments of my life. There's something so satisfying to climbing a mountain and finally reaching the top. You accomplish something with strength of mind and body and have the view from the top to show for all your hard work. Some of my best memories are of views from the tops of mountains I've hiked.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I'm still pretty young as far as esoteric knowledge and practical skills go, but having lived in Barcelona, the best advice I can give any traveler is to fully immerse yourself in the culture. It's so important to embrace differences around the world because if you fight the culture of where you are or simply try to preserve what's familiar, you'll never grow as a person or learn anything through the experience.
