About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn from each other and meet people I wouldn't otherwise meet. I'm excited to be in your presence and I will return the same favor to you if/when you come to my side of the world. :)
"I have a big appetite for life."
-Björk
PHILOSOPHY
Question everything. I would call myself a Secular Humanist, a skeptic, and a free thinker.
How I participate in CS right now is having my home be an open one. Since I'm in the process of departing for a trip, I can't at the moment, but you should know in general my roommates and I keep our house open to bands on tour, friends, travelers that we usually know but sometimes don't. Our guests are for the most part always kind and clean after themselves, so We love to help people out!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I strongly relate to this quote, and it pushes me to start traveling more:
"The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing Jonsi's (Sigur Ros) solo tour. It was a brilliant show. I haven't seen anything like it since. It went beyond just music. At the end, the thunderstorm and rain swept us all away during the crescendo.
Waterfalls, mountains. Beautiful, breezy nights and amazing sky. Awe-inspiring. Best shared with a special someone.
Teach, Learn, Share
People who have a different perspective on life than I do. I love learning about all the different ways a human can live their life.
I want to exchange information (and form connections) with people who foundationally think differently than I do. I think that's where the learning starts.
I can offer some perspective on the Middle East and Arab culture in specific. I come from that background although I'm in a very different place in my head now, which I think puts me in a unique position since I do not identify culturally, and religiously, I identify as an atheist.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Love and food and a warm place to hang out and rest up after a fun-filled day in Austin, TX. In depth knowledge on my city - for foodies, restaurants/trucks to check out, bars, outdoor activities, Arabic lessons.
