About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Starting on something new!
ABOUT ME
I am an open and fun-loving person, who likes meeting new people and learning about other languages and cultures. I felt a bit weird writing this so I asked my friends: they said that I am a kind, loving person who's open to talk about anything and everything. My favourite topics of conversation are science, swapping travel stories, and the local history and culture.
PHILOSOPHY
Whenever you're faced with the choice of doing or not doing something, always do it. What's more memorable, that one time you randomly drove to Paris or that time you sat at home and watched some tv? It might sound cliché but time flies so I'd like to make the most of my little insignificant life. See the world, meet new people, try new things, eat new foods! These things all come together in CouchSurfing :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Spent a month travelling through Europe, and surfed a few couches on the way. I love the concept and met a few amazing people, and love how much you can learn from them. Now I'd love to repay the favour by hosting!
Interests
Languages, travelling, live music, going out for coffee/drinks, trying new recipes, trying local food, learning about local customs/traditions/history/legend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have travelled to the Moluccas in Indonesia with my mum, to visit my family there. We didn't speak each other's languages, but we managed somehow to communicate. Apart from the very special experience of getting to know my family, I saw amazingly beautiful nature and culture.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm from the Netherlands and I'm part English, so if you're keen on learning Dutch/improving your English, or learning more about the Dutch/English way of life, I'd be happy to share.
I'm currently learning how to knit so I could either teach a beginner or learn a lot from an advanced knitter :)
I study Science Communication so I like to talk about philosophy of science, and how (and why) science is communicated to 'the public' (science museums, documentaries, journalism, etc.).
I've studied linguistics before so I also love to talk about languages.
