About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be as helpful as possible along the road of others' travels.
ABOUT ME
I'm married to my best friend; we met while both being stationed in northern Japan. He is still in the military, and I recently fulfilled my commitment & got out to continue my education in Social Work. My friends would tell you that I was the most unlikely candidate to serve in the armed forces, but I did enjoy many aspects, such as traveling and meeting a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. My husband and I truly enjoy meeting and getting to know people; with so much bad news and media coming at us every day I think sometimes it's easy to forget about all of the good going on in the world, and how many amazing persons do exist around us.
Interests
My husband is an avid Broncos football fan, and due to his Dutch heritage also follows the Netherlands soccer team.
I enjoy reading and swapping book suggestions, creating art, photography, and going to music festivals/live music performances. We also take pretty frequent trips, depending on what we can afford at the time; traveling has become a big part of our lives and an experience we like to share. We both like to cook; Jason grills the best steak I've ever had, and I can make some bomb falafel and sweet potato fries!
I enjoy action/adventure films, scifi/fantasy, and anything with Amy Poehler. I like reading memoirs, brainstorming for future tattoos, decorating my cozy little house, and collecting elephants. One of my favorite things is meeting new people and forming bonds that will last a lifetime. I have friends from all over the country and even outside of the U.S., due to the military and the fact that I have adventurous, crazy friends. I love them like family and no matter how much time passes between visits, we fall back into place like we saw each other yesterday.
