About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet people, eat food, drink, and to tattoo/get tattooed all over the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a little quiet, but friendly and polite. I'm genuinely interested in getting to know new people, hearing their stories, and sharing mine. I'm currently a teacher at a university in Nanyang, China, and over the past eight years I've lived in many places throughout Europe, Asia, and South America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I get to travelling again, I'm hoping to find friendly people in new places. At the moment, I'm staying put in Nanyang, so visitors are welcome in my home!

Interests

I love travel, and it's always awesome to hear other people's travel stories. I'm into all the creative stuff...I like to draw, write, play a little piano, and I've been tattooing for about 9 months now. I can cook (nothing fancy, but the basics). I also love reading, movies, makeup, and trying out new restaurants.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the old-school English literature...'epic poems' like Beawulf, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and The Seafarer. I also read modern fiction, and lots of travel writing (of course). I like everything from Baroque music and opera to Muse and MIA. As for movies...I watch Audrey and Marilyn to relax, action and sci-fi for pure entertainment, and chick-flicks when I need some schmaltz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Epic Moments That Left Me Humbled:
1. Standing on the Great Wall of China, touching the stone, thinking about the history and age of it.
2. Walking through the Taj Mahal, admiring the craftsmanship of every detail
3. Vising Niagra Falls as a kid, going on the Maid of the Mist, and getting soaked by all the spray from the falls

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a smallish extra bed in a private room and a couch in the living room. I would be happy to show you around Nanyang, and you're welcome to use my kitchen whenever you like.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Ecuador, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
