ABOUT ME

I have just moved back to my home town in Israel from Australia. before that I was living in an amazing hiking-paradise in the desert doing my masters in ecology. I have been riding horses since the age of 10 and still love it.
I'm not that good in writing about myself so I hope I am more interesting then it seems from this post..

PHILOSOPHY

"Seek and ye shall find," they say, but they don't say what you'll find. (The Way of Cheshire Cat)

And that's all the fun.. (me)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not done much couch surfing butI was active in the CS comunity in Sydney which was great and I have hosted some nice CS travelers that had the good sense to check out my small patch of desert and I had a lot of fun getting to know new people and ideas and showing them around

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

nice people that come to see and hikeI had an unexpected CS that I met on the bus on my way home, he was planing to sleep out in the desert (in Machtesh Ramon) I offered him a sleeping mat and some hiking equipment and ended up hosting him for 2 days :)

Interests

The highlights of my interests are hiking and anything outdoorsy, horseback riding and doing other fun stuff when opportunity comes up...As to the more intellectual part of my interests are in science, ecology, history, different cultures.. I love learning and getting to try out new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is what pops up.. but there probably is more..

- Jumping out of a perfectly operational plane just for the fun of it
- Galloping through the desert in pure freedom
- the yellow mountain in China
- getting lost in the smoky mountains (US) and finding an amazing off the trail waterfall

Teach, Learn, Share

How to survive hiking in the desert (the key is to stay on the path and take a lot of water), horse riding (here the key is to be nice to the horse and holed on), cooking, and all kinds of other stuff - you never know..(for example I had a CS that asked me to explain a statistical method.. which is funny since I hate stat')
