About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Not dying from chocolate abstinence while doing extended solo hikes in mountainous areas across the world.
ABOUT ME
A warm, calm and quite free spirited archaeologist and artist in love with forests, songs and aquarelle colors. I equally love to connect with human beings on a deeper level as well as on any given day being totally silly as well . Always in search of the best, darkest chocolate in town! :)
PHILOSOPHY
I strongly believe we are all in charge of our inner peace and happiness, and there´s always something you can do to reach that place, however far or near to it you are.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I´ve so far only had pleasant couchsurfing experiences- and accounters. Occasionally stayed in kind people´s homes while I was living and traveling in Australia, and later during various solo trips in France. Even though it´s sometimes nice to stay in your own windshelter or tent, the experience of visiting a new place gets so much fuller and richer by meeting and staying with locals. I equally love the cultural exchange that comes from interacting with travelers while I´m home. In the end, we are all very much connected and alike.
Interests
Creation of arts through painting, ceramics, music, photography and drama. Spending time in forests, mountains and with loved ones. Movement geek; love to climb trees, to walk, to squat, to swim and to learn yoga. Archaeology nerd with a flair to read and to engage in discussions about evolutionary health, indigenous cultures, social norms and gender equality. Currently obsessed with transcribing century old-letters.

Music, Movies, and Books
Taste in music is very diverse and depends on the mood. While I paint I like to listen to soul, jazz, folk-blues, motown and instrumental tunes such as soft classical music and movie soundtracks. I´ve been part of a huge gospel choir for several years, and occasionally perform in other music constellations as well, such as musicals and smaller ensembles. A dream of mine is to some time in my life have my own grand piano.
When it comes to movies and television series, I'm quite nerdy about historical drama, but it all depends on the day and mood! Fictional books I can't get enough of are those of Paulo Coelho and Diana Gabaldon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I believe that each experience we have in life serves a purpose, and it´s very difficult to pick one that´s been particularly spectacular. Waking up high up in the mountains of the French Alpes and Pyrenees, swimming in ice cold and cristall clear rivers early in the morning and sleeping under the stars in an olive grove is definitely on the top of the list. Getting immense love and support during my very first solo exhibition last year was definitely a highlight of my life as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am more than happy to share what I know within arts, music, archaeology etc. Would secretely be very excited to transcribe any letters from the beginning of the late 1800s- or early 1900s you have lying around. I make really good batches of bone broth bouillons, although they take roughly 12-24 hrs to cook, which means we have plenty to talk about in the meanwhile!
