I am from Manchester, England and attend university in Leeds where I study Literature, although I maintain an interest in various subjects. I spent one year living in Singapore followed by 3 months of travel in South East Asia which was made even more wonderful by the lovely hosts who became fantastic friends.

Couchsurfing experience:
Couchsurfed in Malaysia. Met friends there who I've kept in touch with but also stumbled into in other countries completely unexpectedly, which was a wonderful surprise and one of the reasons I love this experience.

It is not possible for me to host while in Singapore due to my University accommodation's rules (which are enforced) but I'd love to host and help people once I'm back in Leeds. I've encountered so much kindess and generosity while traveling alone, and the least I can do is return a little of that to other travellers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm continually astounded by the kindness and generosity I've been shown by people while travelling. I'd like to return some of this kindness by hosting when I'm in a position to do so, or just helping other travelers whenever and however possible. I hope that, in the meantime, people can help me out by hosting, and that they can take something valuable away from our encounter. Meeting new people is a fantastic way for me to gain new perspectives and hear about another person's experiences.
