ABOUT ME

How does one put a personality into words?
I'm into puns, food, many types of music, boardgames, science, existential discussions, being less of a carbon-footprint on the earth, opening my mind to new ideas, lying around, bubble tea, cycling.
I have done way less travelling than I wanted to - my huge 'trip' didn't happen - but I hope I can change that in the next couple of years.
I study how to communicate science and really enjoy it. I work part time in travel/adventure stores.

PHILOSOPHY

Can we sum up a personal philosophy?
I'm into logic, and science, and evidence. I'm into good communication. Kindness towards people and understanding why they do what they do. Understanding myself and being kind to me too :)
Feminism (not the man-hatin' type tho). Vege-ism (not the carnivore-hatin' type). Environmentalism.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host at the moment but I have met some wonderful people through CS. I would like to keep doing so - and more, when I can host people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed yet - I didn't know about CS when I travelled before. I can't wait though, my parents have taught me to be neat and clean, so I know I'm a considerate guest. :)

Music, singing, reading, a good debate, bookcrossing, new friends! I want to get back into rockclimbing and do some more yoga. I love love riding my mountain bike. Being less of a carbon-footprint on the earth.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Most of the things that come to mind here are nature based - being on a reef and swimming under the surface of clear water, being in a rainforest and only hearing birds, standing on the top of a cliff in silence watching mist swirl away from the trees many metres below, seeing a sunset on a beach, watching animals and developing a relationship with them. The other part to this is recognizing the beauty you can find in another person's actions - the full depth of 'amazing' that a human can show you. So many things, by that definition..

I don't like trying to evaluate my competence to teach anyone anything meaningful - I just am who I am and hope that you can learn from me, even if I can't sum it up.
