Overview
About Me
I am a law student at the University of Nebraska College of Law. I am from Lincoln, and I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I majored in Political Science and Global Studies and minored in French and Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs. I know a lot about Lincoln.
Before law school I completed two AmeriCorps terms of service at College Possible Omaha, a college access nonprofit that helps high-achieving low-income students get to and through college. I loved my years of service, but after having spent two years as an AmeriCorps member, now beginning law school, and my aspiration of pursuing public interest law, I'm not sure I'll ever really stop CouchSurfing!
I have only Couch-Surfed four times, but I have loved it each time! During the 2015-2016 school year, I taught English in Cluses, France, so I got to CouchSurf in Chambéry, Madrid, and Nice! My most recent time CouchSurfing was in St. Louis for Mardi Gras in 2017!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel, and having a true, local experience is important to me. I don't want to just visit new places as a tourist in a hotel; I have to know what life in [insert your city/town here] is really like!
I am always excited to meet new people and learn about their cities/countries/cultures, hear about different experiences, and make new friends from all over the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
Good music is like porn: "I know it when I [hear] it" (Jacobellis v. Ohio).
I go to the movies quite a lot, but my favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II.
I recently read the His Dark Materials series and absolutely loved it, however, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is an all-time favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in a strike alongside workers at a call center in a free trade zone in the Dominican Republic. We fought, in solidarity, for workers' and union rights.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a horrendous teacher, which is hilarious because I spent three years between undergrad and law school in teaching positions. With that disclaimer in mind, I can attempt to teach you English, board/card games, the one magic trick I know, some random interesting law tidbits, level 1 short-form improv games, about the hidden gems that are Nebraskan fast food chains, and I can definitely help you file your FAFSA. I want to learn about you, your culture, your language, your city, your country, etc! I would love to share some good conversation, laughs, and perhaps a bottle of wine!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cheesy jokes, music, tv and movie suggestions, bad (but enthusiastic) karaoke (exclusively to Outkast's 'Hey Ya!')
