9-5 I do research on impacts of new energy-related technologies and policies. On the weekends I camp, hike, lay in the sun, and hang out with friends. I've never met a dog I didn't love, or heard of a place I didn't want to go. A view of the sunset and a cold beer is my ideal night.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined couchsurfing in preparation for a cross-country road trip. My experiences couchsurfing were some of the best parts of the trip and I met some amazing people. I like to travel and know very well the benefits of hanging out with locals.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies: anything that makes me laugh. Music: top of my list are Ellie Goulding, Avett Brothers, Mumford and Sons, Young the Giant, and Jake Bugg. Basically into anything that is a blend of indie, pop, folk, bluegrass, country, or classic rock.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The absolute best 8 seconds of my life were spent free falling from the Nevis Bungee in New Zealand (my first bungee jump). The second-best 8 seconds of my life were falling from the Contra Dam in the Verzasca valley of Switzerland, my second bungee and 100m higher than the first.

I'm not afraid of a good (even if controversial) conversation and enjoy hearing different peoples views. I can tell you about life in Texas, life in the SF Bay Area, traveling Australia Europe or Thailand, and the current state of our nation's energy technology and policy (if you're keen).
