I've been to CSurfing meet+greets in both Washington DC and Beijing-- and came away from both having met unique and kind people with bottomless curiosity and desire to learn and explore.

I graduated from Pomona College (CA) majoring in media studies-- my final senior paper compared contemporary representations of police brutality and past representations of lynchings in the US. I'm interested in how the medium influences the politics and affect of the content/communication within the form.
I'm also interested in psychoanalytic theory (Freud stuff) applied to media. I like considering the politics of fantasy and romanticism in general-- and plan on going to grad school (phd) to expand media analysis critical of race and gender representation.
Uses of the Erotic by Audre Lorde AND Beyond Hope by Derrick Jensen are two of my favorite short articles/texts.
