About Me

If you're up for it: hitch/travel/explore the world on a (low) budget - pm me.

I'm off work January and February and March.
__________________________________________________________________

I'm open-minded, an introverted extrovert if that makes sense, I enjoy solitude and stillness as much as I enjoy socializing. Love to travel and explore. Love the experience of freedom. Something that moved my heart a lot while I was travelling in 2010/2011. Having no fixed destination, no idea where you'll sleep next and no shoes on was my life back then, going with the flow. While living in the Netherlands for seven years I was able to incorporate this lifestyle to some extend but slowly I got merged back into civilized society.

Since Im back to the 'other world' (shoes, rent, job) and adapted to it (more or less willingly), I find it very important to feel free in the work that I do (thus being self-employed for a while and working in an openminded company with flexible hours) but still, my heart belongs to the road/nature and my dream is to incorporate this passion more into my work.

I've travelled in Europe, Australia/NZ, Canada and the USA.
Travelling is truly addictive...

Most of my friends want to settle down (build a house, fulltime-job, kids, hotel vacation) - but my urge to being in nature and to explore as much as possible is yet so strong that I had to admit that I need to follow this urge in order to truly being happy. I might move to another country in the future. I do live in Germany atm but to be honest I don't 'feel it' much anymore - so currently in the process of letting go and approaching new horizons.

Before 2020 I used to workout 12x a week, but the last three years have been quite rough so currently in the process of getting fit again :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to watch quite a lot of movies back then, but not thaat into movies recently - however I like LOTR, Harry Potter, Oldboy, Incendies, Dune, the Accountant

books: Alan Watts, Pema Chödrön, David R. Hawkins, Thich Nhat Hanh..

music: dub, dubstep, pop - but other than that basically everything that touches me (from classic to metal)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

squatting and hitchhiking throughout australia and new zealand, dumpster-diving, cooking for 30 homeless people from dumpstered food

walked around barefoot for one year

living in Groningen for seven years - i love this city

fusion-festival: dancing for 2 days (3 hours of sleep) - no drugs, just club mate and love for the moment

Las Vegas, first time casino - i won (hihi)

hitching the netherlands, belgium, france, spain - barcelona while sleeping in random places in nature with a good friend of mine

travelling by car through Canada (AB and BC) and the USA (westcoast) for 3,5 months this summer/fall
.... i miss it soo much

I was about to pee in nature in the middle of Vancouver Island, Canada and suddenly heard a loud, deep growl 10 meters behind me. Well this was not particularly fun, but surely will never forget this

Teach, Learn, Share

We could do some yoga/workout together (i was an instructor)

Would love to improve my boxing skills and any outdoors work (gardening, building, repairing)

Would love to learn how to handle a professional camera as I want to get more into photography.
