Overview
About Me
I was a veterinary medicine student from Medellín, Colombia. Moved to Norway last year. I have SO many stories to tell and love to hear others 💜. I believe it is not possible to judge others and am very open-minded. I support LGBTIQ+ rights although I do not identify in this group. Love is love and I expect to be treated with respect, as I treat others.
Open-minded and fun, laughing cures the soul. I love bringing my positive energy to different places and vibing with people on the same frequency. I like to consider myself overall excited about life and do not enjoy when people ruin my groove (you know like the Emperor's New Groove) 🐳.
I love cultural exchanges and getting to meet the locals. I believe this is what tells the true story of a place. Birdwatching, hiking, and coffee shops are some of my favorite things EVER. Dogs, cats, and any pets are welcome in my arms as well 🐾
I would love to hang out with people that enjoy being in nature and the simple things in life. I believe that great friends are the secret to a happy life and have always tried to surround myself with people that respect me and like to create fun and safe environments to be the best person you can be.
BTW I love drum and bass so message me if you know of any concerts!
Proof that I'm a real person 😂 Instagram @sarayubarta
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've actually been on here for a while since I lived in Colombia and made a lot of great friends. Now that I live in Norway, I'm open to meeting new friends and activities around the sector related to nature, music, or similar <3
Interests
Marine biology is my platonic love. I have published one small article in this area - regarding whales of course, doesn't everyone love whales?
Hiking - slowly. I'm one of those people that likes to hike and stare at the ground for 10 minutes to see if I can find any cool bugs or mushrooms. Only for the patient people 😂 Berry picking, spotting wildlife, and swimming in lakes are also things I enjoy.
Making a fun experience out of something ordinary is something I like to enjoy with other people!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to indie rock/pop. French indie, rock, occasional reggaeton, techno, and basically anything. I love the Lumineers and Florence 🤭
Of course don't forget about where I come from, so I love Cumbia, Bullerengue, Vallenato, Champeta, Bambuco, and obviously Salsa.
I love reading books and actually being able to discuss them with others. Recommend any you've read before!
Movies; huge fan, series; gigantic fan. Let's talk about which ones you've seen!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed down a waterfall and thought I was going to die. 😂
Picked up all my shit and moved to a different country THREE times - is definitely the craziest
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Spanish and/or English and share random tips you won't get anywhere else when traveling in my country.
I can teach you a bit about traveling in itself, and what it means to be in a different culture. Things that you usually don't find on your usual Instagram posts or blog posts, but firsthand culture shocks that I've experienced from living in 3 different countries.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can go check out some of the nice spots in Tønsberg and around, most of them are in nature, hiking sites, swimming, checking out the ocean. I am a huge fan of picnics and just simply sitting down, people watching and taking a coffee.
