关于我
We love bikes, board games, local beer, books, repurposing trash, urban agriculture and home-cooked goodness. These are all activities best shared with new friends. We feel alive when we're traveling and being adventurous, but we are both homebodies at the core.
We are heavily involved in community organization. We thrive on learning new skills and passing on what we know.
We generally do not cook with meat, and are excellent vegan GF cooks, so don't be shy about diet restrictions. You won't be stuck eating boiled potato and lettuce. We'll treat you right! We encourage guests to bring wine/beer to complete the meal. We are both skilled in the kitchen and knowledgeable about nutrition and healthy cooking for active living.
May to September is a very busy time for hosting. Some weeks we will host over a dozen people. In order to balance all of our guests and our busy lives, we kindly ask that you be as specific as you can about your arrival dates. Our home has that groovy hostel feel in the summer months. Evening arrivals are preferred.
***Please note that Sarah is recovering from a brain injury resulting from a bike accident two years ago. It has greatly reduced our ability to manage stress and high levels of stimulation/activity. Please understand if we cannot host with short notice, or if Sarah needs to retreat from social environments. This is a long journey towards healing.***

We'll totally skillshare bike mechanics and maintenance. We set an example of a "waste not, want not" lifestyle and finding treasures in the trash.

Either a social experience, or just a cozy place to crash. No pressure or expectations besides respectfulness.
Antigonish's gems:

Craft beer lovers, don't miss The Townhouse which serves up local delights. Terry's Best brewed onsite.
