ABOUT ME

I was raised near Portland for most of my life, and so I love: rain, the ocean, evergreen trees and Northwest coffee. I've traveled a decent amount with family and on my own, but I'd love to do even more of it in my near (and distant!) future. I absolutely love meeting new people and learning about different countries/cultures. I feel that it gives me a more expansive perspective on the world and on life, an attitude that I hope to pass on to the students I work with in my future as a teacher.

Other things that I love: traveling (of course), eating chocolate ice cream, drinking beer or wine, hiking, exploring, writing, watching movies, escapism-via-books, photography... just to name a few.
