ABOUT ME

My name is Sarah HELLOOOOO, I am an Irish girl living in Barcelona while teaching English online. I spend my free time exploring new places and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a brilliant way to meet cool people from all over the globe. If you are lucky you can see new places from the perspective of locals and expats, rather than just falling in to all the tourist traps ;)

Interests

I enjoy travelling, socialising, learning new things and listening to music. I also love being active, meeting new people and reading!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love everything, it's hard to choose, but I will try:

Music - a bit of everything really (apart from death metal!), but my favourite band is Queen

Movies - basically changes every year, but let's go with the Shawshank Redemption :D
TV - also changes a lot! I'm very flaky - my favourite TV show is probably whatever I'm watching at the moment.

Books - Island by Aldous Huxley, The Millennium Trilogy, anything by Marian Keyes and Cecelia Ahern

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bungee-jumped in Dublin, attempted to surf in San Diego, went scuba diving in Dahab and taught English in Thailand and India!

I also climbed an active (REALLY active) volcano in Indonesia and completed small marathons in The Netherlands, Thailand and Ireland.

I just recently climbed the tallest mountain in Spain - woohoo!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about other people's cultures, and telling anyone who will listen about mine too!
E.g. did you know that Irish is a language, and not merely a dialect/accent? ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have taught English since May 2014, so if someone would like an English teacher, I'm your woman. I can also do some cooking if you are brave enough to let me :)
