Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started couchsurfing in 2013. First in South America, then in Southeast Asia, then Europe, then Australia and New Zealand, now back in Europe. So far I love it. I've been lucky to get such great local hosts who took me around and showed me their cities. They've all been such great experiences that I can't wait to go home and start hosting surfers myself so I can show them around my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly positive experiences. Very lucky to have found hosts that hosted my girlfriend, Andrea and me in Spain. Find that people in general are good and hospitable.

Interests

traveling, cultural foods (especially holiday meals), dancing, exploring new places, cooking and watching people cook on TV, lots of Netflix when stationed at home for series and movies, and sleeping more than usual while on holiday

Music, Movies, and Books

house, techno, electronic dance, American pop and indie/alternative, American country, classical, and Christmas music during the holidays, and what spotify would categorize as "coffee house"

Just Friends, Proposal (anything with Sandra Bullock), Practical Magic, The Place Beyond the Pines, Drive, Donnie Darko, Love or something like it, stupid crazy love, the notebook, looper, tropic thunder, despicable me, Brooklyn, Hotel Transylvanian. moonrise kingdom, fargo, burn after reading, raising arizona, bad santa, an education, fantastic mr. fox, royal tenenbaums, running with scissors, lost in translation, the bourne series, The Killing, WestWorld, Gilmore Girls, Homeland, Criminal Minds, 30 Rock, so many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Harajuku in Tokyo. Suntory Whiskey tasting at Yamazaki Distillery in Osaka.

Seeing Glaciers in Alaska and then in Patagonia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Enjoy meeting people who can show me new foods. Love to learn of new cultures / customs and origins of practices.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking, fun night out dancing, stories of near deaths and tragedies.
