Overview
About Me
I have been solo traveling since I was 18 and have definitely become a certifiable travel addict. I currently travel the world and write about my travels on my travel blog, Autobiography of an Adventurer. I also work as a freelance writer for a variety of other companies. On top of that I am a yoga teacher and outdoor lover. I have been to 31 countries and am living in Edinburgh for a year to get my MSc studying Mind, Language, and Embodied Cognition at the University of Edinburgh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my favorite parts of travel is the people you meet along the way. I love the unexpected adventures and connections that come from being open to the world around you. Couchsurfing is a great way to get the local experience of a place.
Interests
Traveling! (duh)
Also writing, yoga, hiking, paddle board, anything outside, and cooking. I love all animals, but my obsession with dogs and horses is on another level. I am learning how to surf and rock climb.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read and will read just about anything. Right now (but it's constantly changing), my two favorite books are Cat's Cradle (Kurt Vonnegut) and Dharma Bums (Jack Keroac). I listen to just about anything depending on the mood. Favorite movie? Probably Moulin Rouge but again, it depends on the mood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitched a ride on a motorcycle from two men, one carrying a rifle, the other a machete. It was 11pm in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle and I lived to tell the tale. I've got a scar to prove it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have tons of awesome travel stories to share! Let's crack open a bottle of wine and share our stories. Everyone has one worth hearing. I'm also asked all the time for advice on how to live as a digital nomad and I am happy to share tips with anyone who is interested. Free yoga classes if you're nice :) If you can teach me a language or take me for any fun outdoor activity we will be friends for life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I'm coming from home I'll bring a Californian treat. If not, I'll bring something from wherever I happen to be. I'm also probably the cleanest guest you'll ever have.
