I'm from the Midwest, yet often find myself visiting loved ones all over the USA. I grew up in Michigan, finished college, now work for a large hospital network here in Grand Rapids. I'm social and independent, so when traveling I'm just fine on my own with no guidance. However, meeting new people and learning from them is definitely a plus!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With how much I visit new places, it's nice to meet the people that live in that environment and aren't just there for a few days. It's an affordable alternative while being able to live like a local.

I love to travel, see new places, meet new people, and get to know different cultures. I enjoy music festivals/concerts/live music. The outdoors holds a big piece of my heart too =). I like hiking, running, camping, staying active, trying new food, and I LOVE aquariums and zoos =).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm very used to traveling, so I am perfectly ok on my own with no guidance. this works great for those that have busy schedules and don't necessarily have the time to tend to a full time guest. On the other hand, I think meeting and going out here or there with a host and some of their friends is such a cool and unique way to meet new friends from all over the place.
