Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to see things I have yet to see and meet people I have yet to meet
ABOUT ME
I'm currently studying at Carleton U majoring in Geography and Geomatics. I'm getting close to finishing my degree and stepping into the "career world" (yikes!). I've moved a lot in my life, and am now torn as to whether I should set up camp somewhere relatively long term, or continue on my nomadic ways. I love my family and friends! I am always happy to meet new and interesting people!
PHILOSOPHY
I would rather regret the things I have done than the things I haven't.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a few people at my place but have yet to surf... I'm hoping to make the most out of it this summer!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Limited, but super positive!
Interests
I am very creative; I love to make things of all kind. I am a lover of food and thoroughly enjoy cooking and baking and ESPECIALLY eating! I have a strong interest in agriculture (organic) and food security, specifically how they play a part in shaping the environment. I love music, I love to sing, I want to learn to play some instruments :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Alone in the Wilderness, Little Miss Sunshine, Ratatouille, Eco/Social-documentaries, I'm not a big movie watcher to be honest... Fleet Foxes, The Black Keys, Alt-J, Iron and Wine, Radiohead, Sublime, Bob Marley, Fiona Apple, Broken Social Scene, The Arcade Fire, Chromeo, Elton John, James Brown, Modest Mouse, Plants and Animals, The Strokes, Adele, K'naan, Metric, Tegan and Sara, The Strokes, Yo La Tengo, I like pretty eclectic music with a good beat and interesting vocals... One Hundred Years of Solitude, Go Ask Alice, Man's Search for Meaning, Sleeping Naked is Green, any kind of guide on art, craft, gardening, survival, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Nature to me is ultimately amazing. I most recently took a road trip through eastern Canada and the US and hiked along the Appalachians, I spend a couple days at the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick and was privileged to witness not only the highest tides in the world but also some of the most beautiful scenery.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be able to share knowledge about the Canadian culture for one. I can share my views on philosophy and how I see life connected. I could show other how I like to prepare my food, and what about it I like. I would like to learn practical skills like how to build, how to sew, how to survive off of the land.
