About Me
ABOUT ME
I am independent, motivated, adventurous, resourceful, and intentional. I'm a bit of a minimalist and I make an effort to live efficiently with only what I need and to learn to be happy with that and nothing more. I am very open and straightforward and I'm a clear communicator. I love traveling by myself and meeting new people!
I make and sell copper earrings for a living, which is way more legit than it sounds. Check out my website if you'd like to learn more: coppercreationsseattle.com
I do a lot of partner dancing for fun, and it's a pretty easy way to meet people while traveling! It's great, you don't even have to speak the language, you just show up and ask strangers to dance and there you go, you're socializing with locals! In Seattle, I dance Fusion and West Coast Swing two or three nights a week, but when I'm visiting a new place I'll do any kind of partner dance I can find. If you're a host who dances and you can take me out dancing, I would be extra excited about staying with you!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had some lovely times CouchSurfing in Venice, Newcastle, Lyon, and a couple of places around the US. I was really into hosting people a couple of years ago when I was living in a big apartment in Seattle, and that was tons of fun, but now I live in a van so I can't really host anymore.
More importantly, though, I've traveled a bunch with Help Exchange, which is a work exchange website very similar to WWOOF. The philosophy of HelpX is very similar to that of CouchSurfing. My priority when I travel is always to hang out with locals! I've spent weeks or months at a time HelpXing in France, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, and Quebec. Most of the hosts I stayed with were farm-like situations but there were a few hostels as well. I am absolutely in love with this method of travel and highly recommend it!
Because of the van, I've been doing some pretty sweet road trips around the US these days and use CouchSurfing a lot less because of it, but still manage to find other ways of meeting people! Two years ago I did a two-month long trip around the western states, and this upcoming year I'm planning on checking out the south :)
Because of my living situation I can't really do much real cooking, and I miss it :( So, if I stay with you I will probably be using your kitchen a lot if that's ok, and I'm happy to cook food for us to share :)
