About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Building a better world by finding value and resources in the most unlikely of places.

ABOUT ME

Polymath. Global citizen. Entrepreneur. Millenial.

PHILOSOPHY

People: A lifetime of travel has taught me that people are more similar than they are different. We only really differ in how we express ourselves and our needs.

Hospitality: Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and good food. I will always treat my guests to a good meal - and great food is the least I can offer my host.

Life: Get out of your comfort zone, experiment and explore. Dream big and dare to do the work that turns those dreams into reality.

Politics: Wouldn't it be nice if we could just stop combining unrelated political ideas into labels and forcing them on people? We can do so much better, but we have to do it together and leave fear at the door. There's a reason why microorganisms are open source and stable ecosystems are diverse.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I both couchsurf and host. My goal is to meet some new friends, learn more about the beauty of planet Earth and Humanity and perhaps provide a bit of space to a fellow traveller.

At the moment, I'm about to embark on a short journey to the beautiful French city of Strasbourg. Along for the journey, I will have my friend Anders Erkéus whom I am introducing to the wonderful world of couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been couch surfing for a fair few years now. Couchsurfed when exploring Australia between university semesters. Couchsurfed my way across Europe when filming a documentary in 2010. Even couchsurfed my way around Cape Town, South Africa in 2015 and met some truly awesome individuals!

When couchsurfing, I always bring my own bedlinen, towel and food. I am happy to share my food, no matter how modest or extravagant it may be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many...

Firewalking

Building an adobe bread oven in the middle of a forest

Learning to play the didgeridoo from my couchsurfing host

Sailing and kayaking in the archipelago

Teach, Learn, Share

WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO LEARN: Traditional cooking methods, local recipes, Spanish, how to spin thread/yarn and circular breathing, so I can play the didgeridoo for longer.

WHAT I CAN TEACH
I'd be happy to teach Swedish or English, cooking (e.g. sourdough bread), off-grid cooking techniques and organic gardening. Or hydroponics, if you prefer.

WHAT I CAN SHARE
Show me a good fishing spot and I'll share my catch with you! I'm also more than happy to share my cooking skills - how about some traditional Swedish food? Japanese? French? Molecular? Vegan? Let me know what you like and we'll cook up a storm!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always happy to share food, recipes, knowledge and stories.

Happy to share my professional skills, such as risk management, English teaching, holistic self-defence, cooking, off-grid living, fermenting (pretty much anything) and writing.
